Momentum continues in Fall Creek, continued

On March 15, Fall Creek will host part of the fourth annual Guaranty Bank Tour de Houston, a recreational bike ride that promotes physical fitness and benefits neighborhood parks. Approximately 2,500 participants are expected on the tour, with a portion of the daylong ride winding through Fall Creek to and from Redstone Golf Course.

Also on the horizon is Fall Creek’s first on-site school, Fall Creek Elementary, a 14-acre campus slated to open in August. The $12.7 million facility will accommodate approximately 750 students and will serve all elementary-age Fall Creek residents.

Recently opened businesses include:  Nail Spa One, Contour Express and Anytime Fitness. The new businesses join several other retailers that have opened in the Village Park Place shopping center.

Finally, Fall Creek’s “Closer than a Shave to Work” television commercial won the national 2007 Marketing Effectiveness Award from SUMMIT MEA. The commercial, part of a comprehensive marketing program, depicted a businessman commuting from Fall Creek to downtown Houston with only enough time to shave one side of his face during the drive. The Summit Marketing Effectiveness Award recognizes achievement in advertising that successfully changes a consumer’s knowledge, attitudes and beliefs.
